Three years ago Toronto Baptist Seminary celebrated Dr. Geoff Adams’ fifty year involvment with the school by publishing a festschrift for him. It is an excellent book called Acorns to Oaks: The Primacy and Practice of Biblical Theology edited by Michael Haykin, I highly recommend it. Along with a biographical sketch of his life, a table of congratulations from many of his friends and colleagues and a list of his publications, the festschrift also contains numerous articles. Some of those who contributed are John W. Campbell who wrote on Cornelius Van Til; Peter Gentry who wrote on the Son of Man in Daniel 7; Don Garlington who wrote on Biblical Theological method; Sharon James who wrote on Margaret Baxter; Erroll Hulse who wrote on Spurgeon and the Downgrade; Tom Wells who wrote on P.G. Wodehouse and Michael Haykin who wrote on the Holy Spirit and prayer in Puritan thought. There are a number of other excellent articles as well.
