I have to admit, hearing about the recent terrorist findings here in Toronto last week has shaken me up a little. It is quite discomforting to know that “homegrown” terrorists live in Toronto and had three times the amount of explosives found on the Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. Hearing that the CSIS building (Canada’s version of the CIA) was a potential target, and knowing that is located next to the CN Tower which is relatively close to my home is worrying. I thank God that His providence kept any 9/11-type disaster from happening.
What is also quite distressing about this event is the reaction of the media, politicians and police. Everytime I watch their statements on the television I cringe. They keep reasurring us that these “radicals” don’t represent the Muslim community, that they are on the fringes and their views are not the norm.
Really? Is that true? Can that be sustained by theological and historical evaluation?
My challenge to Mayor Miller and to Police Chief Blair is this: go read the Koran. Go study Islamic history. When they can explain to me how quotes from the Koran that are anti-Semitic, hate-filled and murderous are not what constitutes a true Muslim, then I’ll rest easy at night.
Herein lies the West’s greatest problem, the moral relativism that results from the fear of looking intolerant. The last thing someone like Miller or Blair wants to do is come across as narrow-minded or racist. So to salvage their reputation, they are willing to risk the lives of thousands of Torontonians and possibly millions of Canadians. This is sheer and utter irresponsibility.
Islam is a religion of hate and violence on par with Hitler and the Nazis (it’s interesting to see that some Muslims deny the Holocaust). That may sound extreme to you, but any who read this with horror at my lack of political correctness needs to do some work with the sections of the Koran I have posted below. I would be very interested to have them explained away, or to have the obvious comparison to them and the garbage that spewed from Nazi Germany before and during the Second World War.
However, I do want to qualify what I say. Because I believe that the Islamic religious system is hate-filled and evil, I do not believe that of all Muslims. I know for a fact that there are a vast number of Muslims who do not breathe death against the “infidel.” But these Muslims are inconsistent with their religious beliefs. All Muslims believe that the Koran is their holy book from Allah given to Muhammad. They believe that everything in that book should be followed. So why break the faith over these sections below? They are what I call “Liberal Muslims” and are not true Muslims. A religious system should be judged by it’s writings, just like Christianity is judged by the Bible. For me, to be defined as a Christian, that definition comes from the Bible. If I break with the Bible, such as men like Bart Ehrman, John Spong and John Crossan have, I will cease being a Christian. The same principle should apply to Muslims.
This is not a question of race. A white person can be a Muslim and hate all non-Muslims, just as much as an Arab can be a Christian. For any who think that this is an issue of race is sorely mistaken. The issue that we have to deal with, all of us, is that of religious ideology. Muslims, according to the Koran, must hate us.
Koranic Verses of Hate
Surah 16:117-118 – “(In such falsehood) is but a paltry profit; but they will have a most grievous Penalty. To the Jews We prohibited such things as We have mentioned to you before: We did them no wrong, but they were used to doing wrong to themselves.”
Surah 7:166 – Speaking to Jews – “When in their insolence they transgressed (all) prohibitions, We said to them: “Be you apes, despised and rejected.” See also Surahs 2:65 and 5:60.
Surah 5:54 – “O believers, take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Those of you who make them his friends is one of them. God does not guide an unjust people.”
Surah 4:46-47 – “Of those who are Jews (there are those who) alter words from their places and say: We have heard and we disobey and: Hear, may you not be made to hear! and: Raina, distorting (the word) with their tongues and taunting about religion; and if they had said (instead): We have heard and we obey, and hearken, and Unzurna it would have been better for them and more upright; but Allah has cursed them on account of their unbelief, so they do not believe but a little. O you who have been given the Book! believe that which We have revealed, verifying what you have, before We alter faces then turn them on their backs, or curse them as We cursed the violators of the Sabbath, and the command of Allah shall be executed.”
Surah 5:78 – “Those who disbelieved from among the children of Israel were cursed by the tongue of Dawood and Isa, son of Marium; this was because they disobeyed and used to exceed the limit.”
Surah 9:30 – And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!”
Surah 5:46 – “And the Jews say: The hand of Allah is tied up! Their hands shall be shackled and they shall be cursed for what they say. Nay, both His hands are spread out, He expends as He pleases; and what has been revealed to you from your Lord will certainly make many of them increase in inordinacy and unbelief; and We have put enmity and hatred among them till the day of resurrection; whenever they kindle a fire for war Allah puts it out, and they strive to make mischief in the land; and Allah does not love the mischief-makers.”
Surah 62:6-8 – “Say: O you who are Jews, if you think that you are the favorites of Allah to the exclusion of other people, then invoke death If you are truthful. And they will never invoke it because of what their hands have sent before; and Allah is Cognizant of the unjust. Say: (As for) the death from which you flee, that will surely overtake you, then you shall be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of that which you did.”
Surah 5:41-42 – “O Apostle! let not those grieve you who strive together in hastening to unbelief from among those who say with their mouths: We believe, and their hearts do not believe, and from among those who are Jews; they are listeners for the sake of a lie, listeners for another people who have not come to you; they alter the words from their places, saying: If you are given this, take it, and if you are not given this, be cautious; and as for him whose temptation Allah desires, you cannot control anything for him with Allah. Those are they for whom Allah does not desire that He should purify their hearts; they shall have disgrace in this world, and they shall have a grievous chastisement in the hereafter. (They are) listeners of a lie, devourers of what is forbidden; therefore if they come to you, judge between them or turn aside from them, and if you turn aside from them, they shall not harm you in any way; and if you judge, judge between them with equity; surely Allah loves those who judge equitably.”
Surah 5:78-81 – “Those who disbelieved from among the children of Israel were cursed by the tongue of Dawood and Isa, son of Marium; this was because they disobeyed and used to exceed the limit. They used not to forbid each other the hateful things (which) they did; certainly evil was that which they did. You will see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; certainly evil is that which their souls have sent before for them, that Allah became displeased with them and in chastisement shall they abide. And had they believed in Allah and the prophet and what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them for friends but! most of them are transgressors.”
Surah 2:190-193 – “And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits. And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers. But if they desist, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they desist, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors.”
Surah 2:216-218 – “Fighting is enjoined on you, and h is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know. They ask you concerning the sacred month about fighting in it. Say: Fighting in it is a grave matter, and hindering (men) from Allah’s way and denying Him, and (hindering men from) the Sacred Mosque and turning its people out of it, are still graver with Allah, and persecution is graver than slaughter; and they will not cease fighting with you until they turn you back from your religion, if they can; and whoever of you turns back from his religion, then he dies while an unbeliever — these it is whose works shall go for nothing in this world and the hereafter, and they are the inmates of the fire; therein they shall abide. Surely those who believed and those who fled (their home) and strove hard in the way of Allah these hope for the mercy of Allah and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.”
Surah 2:244, 246 – “And fight in the way of Allah, and know that Allah is Hearing, Knowing…Have you not considered the chiefs of the children of Israel after Musa, when they said to a prophet of theirs: Raise up for us a king, (that) we may fight in the way of Allah. He said: May it not be that you would not fight if fighting is ordained for you? They said: And what reason have we that we should not fight in the way of Allah, and we have indeed been compelled to abandon our homes and our children. But when fighting was ordained for them, they turned back, except a few of them, and Allah knows the unjust.”
Surah 2:191- “Slay them [the infidels] wherever ye find them and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter.”
Surah 3:146 – “How many of the Prophets fought (in Allah’s way), and with them (fought) large bands of godly men? But they never lost heart if they met with disaster in Allah’s way, nor did they weaken (in will) nor give in. And Allah loves those who are firm and steadfast.”
Surah 4:74-76 – “Therefore let those fight in the way of Allah, who sell this world’s life for the hereafter; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, then be he slain or be he victorious, We shall grant him a mighty reward. And what reason have you that you should not fight in the way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, (of) those who say: Our Lord! cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from Thee a guardian and give us from Thee a helper. Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the Shaitan. Fight therefore against the friends of the Shaitan; surely the strategy of the Shaitan is weak.”
Surah 8:39 – “Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah’s religion reigns supreme.”
Surah 25:52 – “So do not follow the unbelievers, and strive against them a mighty striving with it.”
Surah 66:9 – “O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and be hard against them; and their abode is hell; and evil is the resort.”
This list could go on an on, but I think that I’ve proven my point.
